In Your CARE - introductory workshop is the first in a 4-workshop series designed to prepare Caring Service Providers and Professionals with the knowledge, skills, and tools to help them ID symptoms of abuse in clients, connect with clients better, protect themselves from working in the helping industry, and understand more on how to help clients get the help they need.

Date/Time: Introductory workshop is Sunday March 11th from 10:30 - 4:00 (Silent Charity Auction opens at 10:00)

Charity Silent Auction - Open from 10-10:30am before the Workshop begins. This charity silent auction will have donated items from the community, and all proceeds will go to Cowichan Women's Against Violence Society.

Cost: $70+GST for the Introductory Workshop (discount available for 6 or more in a group - contact us for more details).

Notes: Duration is 5.5 hours with a 1 hour lunch break. Coffee, tea and water will be provided.

Workshop Description: This workshop is the first in the series that focuses on How to identify symptoms of abuse/trauma, intro to communication skills, need for self-care in the caring professions, and intro to available resources. This session prepares you for future in-depth training and education in the areas of communication skills with clients, self-care strategies, and further information into different types of clients that we may work with.
